PROJECT REBUILD

PREVIOUS TENANTS

Too many failed attempts at Love, nothing

to declare, but waste.

A fleeting memory in our minds with no way to stop it

Why would I want to live on earth without the one who truly sees me?

How can I look at you half-heartedly, baby?

To be in the same room as you, yet not a single word exchanged

all those glittering stars in the sky but we were meant to be meteorites, falling apart

I close my eyes, slip beneath the sheets

and turn onto my side
like a familiar truth

However, this time without the warm of your back
