Tryouts

Not trying to fail but trying to succeed

Questions that run through my head:
How may I fit my family into the equation?
How will we make the cut?
How many players will be chosen,
and to whom? Whom will join team?
How good can they be
or how bad? How can I make myself less
embarrassed? In the court but not off it.
Grace of a big gym,
All that glitters stuck in the surface.
The glossy floor shocks sense into reflection.
Squeaking sounds from the grip of the shoes on the floor,
The players. Look intimidating.
Will I prevail? Or will I come short?
