the house of sorrows stands alone, fights and screaming creaks and sighs listening to broken souls, fighting for control. the house of sorrows knows the pain of each resident by name. he watches the daughter choke back bitter cries. he listens to the father’s words that choke the mother’s steely eyes what broken ties. the house of sorrows knows no peace - fights increase. he hears the hurt all the noise. watch the moon, all will be over soon. he feels he knows too much the house of sorrows stands alone, all that’s known. maybe it will cease, will it get better? the house will heave a final sigh, look up at the blanket with sleep, no longer hearing the weep.
